Laila came to us as a teeny tiny little puppy too young to stay at the southern Ohio shelter she was brought to. We took her in, and quickly noticed that she wasn't feeling well. We brought her into our vet's office where she was diagnosed with Parvo - a life threatening virus that attacks the GI tract causing vomiting and diarrhea. Laila spent a week in the hospital in intensive care and on IV fluids and medications. She is a tough little girl though and is such a little fighter, we named her "Laila" after Laila Ali. Happily, Laila lived up to her name and fought her way through her illness! She is now fully recovered and is ready to find her forever home!

Here is what Laila's foster mom has to say about her: "Laila is a very energetic and playful puppy. She loves attention! She loves to run around, fetch a ball and get belly rubs. Laila is also affectionate and enjoys cuddling. Laila does not bark much so we started bell training her to let us know when she has to potty. She is a very smart dog, I've already taught her how to sit."

Laila is approx. 4 months old and is currently 11 lbs. Our vet guesstimates that she will be a small/medium sized girl when fully grown at around 25-30 lbs. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and on monthly flea/heartworm preventative. She is a wonderful, affectionate, happy, healthy puppy that will make a fabulous addition to any home!
