This is Ellie's 2nd time being with New Leash. After 2 years in a home, Ellie has been returned to us through no fault of her own. Her family had grown since her adoption, and they no longer had the time to spend with her that they felt she deserved. They were heartbroken to bring her back, but wanted her to have a home where she got more attention then they were able to provide. Poor Ellie is a little confused right now, but is adjusting well!

Ellie knows sit and is totally housetrained. She loves positive reinforcement and would do anything for her humans. While she loves being near her humans, she's also very independent and is happy sleeping in her room or chewing on a bone. She's more on the cautious side when it comes to meeting new people and animal friends. Once she knows you're ok, she'll come right up to you and bury her head in your lap. She loves being petted, held and going for walks. She's wonderful with cats and has been known to snuggle with a few. Based on everything that poor Ellie has been through, we feel that Ellie deserves to be the only dog in her forever home, that way she can get all the love and attention she deserves. She would also do best in a calm, quiet home with older children, if any.

We're honestly not sure specifically what kind of dog she is. Our best guess is maybe border collie, beagle, hound, terrier, boxer, you name it she probably has it. :) We love her all the same though.

Ellie is approx. 4.5yrs old and around 35lbs. Her adoption fee is $150, and she is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative and on monthly flea/heartworm preventative.
