7/13 Ginger is doing well in her foster home. She gets along great with her foster mom's beagle and doesn't pay any attention to the cat. Ginger is such a sweetheart and melts the heart of everyone she meets. She must certainly have italian greyhound in her because she's wonderfully mellow and calm when she's inside but then also loves to play and run outside. She will be a wonderful addition to a loving family.

Ginger is a sweet girl who came to our rescue from the Ashtabula APL where she was brought in as a stray. She is a loving, happy little dog, and her affectionate personality combined with her puppy dog eyes makes her difficult to resist! (She has generated quite a fan club at the vet's office!) She loves to cuddle and give hugs (as you can tell from one of her pictures!), and has recently discovered the joys of playing in a fenced in yard! She runs in BIG circles, and once she's all tuckered out, she comes back to you for kisses and pets!
She's an interesting looking dog, with long legs, a nubby tail, and a beautiful red brindle coat! We're guessing that she's a Toy Fox Terrier/Italian Greyhound mix, but who really knows for sure?? Whatever she is, she's darn cute and quite original! You certainly won't find another dog out there like her!
Ginger is approximately 2 years old, and is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, on monthly flea and heartworm prevention, and spayed.
A fenced in yard is preferred for Ginger, because she LOVES to run! She's already been lost once, and we don't want that to happen to her ever again!

Ginger gets along wonderfully with other dogs and cats, so she'll make a great addition to any family! If you think this beautiful girl would be perfect for you, please fill out our online application at our website, www.anewleashonliferescue.com.
