ADOPTION INFORMATION
IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ONE OF OUR PETS,
PLEASE FILL OUT AN ONLINE APPLICATION!
http://www.anewleashonliferescue.com/forms/
Since all of our animals are fostered in private homes, an online application must be completed and approved before we will schedule any meet and greet appointments.
Please note - an approved application does not obligate NLOL or the interested party to pursue and/or complete the adoption process.
WE DO NOT HAVE A SHELTER. WE DO NOT SHIP ANY OF OUR ANIMALS.
If you have filled out an application and have not heard back, you are more than welcome to email us and ask about the status of your application!
ADOPTION FEES
Our adoption fees are based on the amount of veterinary care put into each animal.
ALL OF OUR ANIMALS ARE FULLY VETTED PRIOR TO ADOPTION!
This means all animals are:
DOGS:
-
Examined by a licensed veterinarian
-
Spayed/neutered
-
Up to date on vaccinations
-
Heartworm tested (if the animal is old enough)
-
Microchipped
-
Dewormed
-
Current on monthly flea/heartworm medication
CATS:
-
Examined by a licensed veterinarian
-
Spayed/neutered
-
Up to date on vaccinations
-
FeLV/FIV tested
-
Dewormed
-
Current on monthly flea/heartworm medication
In addition to routine medical care, NLOL will also address and treat (as indicated by our veterinarian) any/all medical issues that the animal may have upon entering our organization, or that may develop while in our care.
The adoption fee that we receive goes directly to our bill at the vet. We do not have overhead costs such as payroll, building costs, marketing, advertising, etc so you can rest assured that your adoption fee goes directly to vet bills and animal care items like food, toys, bones, crates, paper towels, etc. A New Leash on Life Rescue is a 501c3 organization, so your adoption fee is also a charitable donation that you may claim on your taxes. Adoption fees are non-negotiable.
REFUNDS
The donation is not a sale price, but a request to defer or reimburse NLOL for any and all medical expenses, or any other expenses incurred, to consider dog for adoption. The adoption fee is not refundable, regardless of whether the dog is returned to NLOL rescue or not. These donations are used solely for the care of dogs in our rescue program. The primary use of funds is for medical care of current and future dogs in our organization.
